Naan Mahaan Alla is a forthcoming Drama-thriller film starring Karthi Siva Kumar and Kajal Agarwal in the lead roles. Suseenthiran who directed the “Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu” writes and directs this film. Naan Mahaan Alla’s music is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja and produced by K. E. Gnanavelraja’s Studio Green and distributed by Cloud Nine Movies. The movie album has 5 songs but actually only 4 songs, as the Vaa Vaa Nilava Pudichi song is coming twice without any tune/lyric changes.

1. Vaa Vaa Nilava Pudichi – Rahul Nambiar

Yuvan’s brilliancy in giving an opening song with the traditional Harmonium sounds like a live composition when you hear the song. Just like “Adada mazhai da”, this song will also be a big hit. The strength of Yuvan is in giving as if its a familiar tune but still uniquely decorating with his groovy fillers.

Rating: ★★★★☆

2. Iragai Pole – Yuvan and Tanvisha

Yuvan has sung this number. That is more than enough for this song to be a hit song. Tanvisha’s pleasing intonation carries the listener to a new world. Yugabharathy’s lyrics “nee mattum podhum podhum” will be hummed by guys who are yet to propose their girl friends. Best pick of this lot.

Rating: ★★★★½

3. Oru Maalai Neram – Javed Ali and Shilpa Rao

The song begins with an amusing “oohvahoo” filler. Javed Ali’s voice is fresh although has a little trace of Hindi. Shilpa Rao surprises with her proper tamil pronounciation, and doesn’t let down the song’s newness. Yuvan delights us with a beautiful easy go rhythm to the medium tempo of this song.

Rating: ★★★★☆

4. Theivam Illai – Madhu Balakrishnan

A sad song narrating the feelings of a broken heart in love. Yugabharathy’s lyrics is the greatest strength and Madhu Balakrishnan’s voice suits the sorrowful mood. Yuvan has given a soul stirring track similar to the “Pitchai Pathiram” in Naan Kadavul. The monotonous background, solo flute tunes, with less music during the starting few minutes of the song is later filled with heavy but slow drum beats.
